Hi CeCe, Our decals are produced to be fired into the surface of ceramic ware such as ceramic tiles. They are used on many different surfaces, but must have some type of sealer applied to protect them if they are not fired. If you do not intend to fire the decals, be sure to specify "Clear Jell Only" when you place your order. Some decals are set in a colored jell that will disappear in the firing process, but would not be suitable for a non-fired application. Bonnie
